Hello Bow Makers!  I just wanted to share a wonderful video that I made with Kim Parkinson of Kept Creations in Whitman, MA.  Kim is the producer of this monthly crafting program, Keep Creating.  Since Kim decided to focus on ribbon for this month, it created a great segue for Craft-Dee BowZ!  I'm proud to say we did this in one take!  Enjoy the video and I'd love to hear what you think of it.  We are also on the Craft-Dee BowZ Facebook page.

Another wine bottle tag

In my last post I did a Christmas tag for a wine bottle and promised you a non-generic one to come.  Well, there's really no reason why you couldn't bring a bottle of wine to your New Years Eve celebration and give your host or hostess a good laugh while doing so.

Here's the bottle with a generic tag:

Drop in to your New Years party with this cute tag and you'll be sure to be a hit.  A little card stock, a few buttons, die cuts, punches and a luscious bow top this bottle of wine off.

Happy New Year to one and all and have a Bow-ti-ful 2014!

A very Merry Christmas to all!!

This Christmas tree isn't much smaller than the one I already have up LOL!  Since kitty decided she likes to eat fiber optic trees, THAT tree is kept wrapped  with a cardboard box around it most of the time.  Lovely sight -- we're trying to set a new trend for the holiday tree I guess.  Anyway, here's a really cute idea that I found online.  I have made quite a few of these and also taught a class on it.  It is such a fun and cute idea -- and you can eat it once the holidays are over!

With a few strips of card stock, a little glue and lots of Hershey Kisses, you have a wonderful ornament that can either be given away or used to decorate the real tree.  Of course, the crowning glory is the wonderful bow at the top.

With that being said, I want to wish ALL of my card making, scrapbooking  and bow making friends the Merriest of Christmases and a Happy, Healthy New 2014.  Thank you from Craft-Dee BowZ for your wonderful participation and support in our Challenges and Blog Hops through 2013.  We enter the new year with a fabulous new team who will wow your socks off.  I look forward to seeing you all in 2014!

A Purple Christmas

Hi! It's Amber here with a blog post. Yes, I know the next Craft-Dee BowZ DT blog post should be next Tuesday but that is Christmas Eve! So here I am with my blog post now. Also this is my last blog post for Craft-Dee BowZ but don't worry, you will still be able to catch all my work over at my blog and you can be sure I'll still be using the Craft-Dee BowZ maker on all my creations!

The ribbon Donna sent us was a very pretty purple but my camera doesn't like it so that is why it looks like it does. I paired it with the same color cardstock that I stamped sliver snowflakes on. Used a Christmas tree bling again on silver cardstock. The background I embossed with an ornament folder and then distressed the cardstock to show the purple.

Hope you have enjoyed my posts while on the team. Can't wait to see next year's teams' projects. Thank you, Donna for allowing me to be a part of Craft-Dee BowZ maker's first Design Team. It has been an exciting adventure and like I said, I'll always be using the Craft-Dee BowZ maker.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Amber

Farewell to Craft-Dee Bowz

Hi, it's Patti with my last post with Craft-Dee Bowz. I have enjoyed my time and would like to thank Donna and the entire team! Now for my last project!

We received some gorgeous ribbons to work with and some crystal accents that were so cute as well!! I decided to make a votive candle holder out of a mason jar! You can do this for any Holiday by changing the color of the ribbons!!!!

You can see the topper in this photo, I made a multiple loop  bow with the pretty purple and silver edged ribbon, then made a smaller double loop bow with the silver and placed it on top!

I made some dangles from silver and white beads with a purple star button on each end.

Here you can see that I took a piece of the purple and centered the smaller silver on top, then placed one of the gem snowflakes in the center. I cut the other snowflake apart and placed the pieces at six equal spots on the top edge of the purple ribbon.

I put a votive candle in the bottom of the jar. It looks really pretty when it's lit. You can use colored gemstones, just think of green and red for Christmas too!! And you can make smaller ones! They are really cute and safe too! Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my creations each month! Don't forget to visit regularly to see what the new Design Team has in store for you!!!

Let's have a sip of wine

I love the traditional idea of bringing a bottle of wine to the lovely hostess or handsome host during the holidays.  That is, unless, you are bringing food.  But we're talking about wine here, folks!  So why not decorate your wine bottle with a great label/tag combination and top it off with a few bows using your Craft-Dee BowZ tool!

I created this label using one of Graphic 45 papers.  Surprisingly, this was one of my LEAST favorite patterns, so I decided to see what it would look like on the label.  I think I surprised even myself!  This paper looks terrific.  For the tag I used some of the reverse side of the same G45 pattern paper and cut out pieces and parts to decorate it.  I then used a 1/4" red ribbon bow to set off the tag.   Topping the neck of the bottle off with a bigger bow made a cohesive look.

It looks festive and it cost you next to nothing -- no bottle bag, no store-bought ribbon for you!  Just an idea I wanted to pass along for the holiday season.  I'm going to post another one soon that is not holiday themed, but a really fun one, I promise!

Happy bow making and have a Bow-ti-ful Day!

Donna

Sparkly scene

Here's a card (one in a series) that I made for a friend of hubby's that I thought I'd share with you.  Sometimes it only takes a single loop bow to create a little more interest.  The glitter doesn't really show through -- my photo editing skills could use a jump start.  Enjoy!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Good morning everyone! Brenda here, with my last post for Craft-DeeBowz. I have really enjoyed being on this design team. It has been a wonderful experience for me. Donna, the creator of Craft-DeeBowz, is a wonderful person to create for. You couldn't ask for a more sweeter or  generous person. Thank you Donna, for all of the goodies you supplied us with. It has been my pleasure, to create for Craft-DeeBowz.

Now, on to the project I created. My last project is a card you can use, in my opinion for Christmas, A Winter or a birthday card. This is a white on white layered 5X7 card. I used embossing folders, pine bough, ornament, snowflake dies and the adornment is the bow.

Thank you for stopping by. Hugs and blessings to all. Merry Christmas! Brenda

I love to share ideas and inspire others to create the images of their dreams. Because life is better when we share, I give tips, templates, material lists and soon…videos! I do believe we’re all blessed with a creative spark. We ignite that spark in each other and it makes life so very much richer. Be Thankful

Hello. Tis a busy time of year but I managed to make a quick card for today. Fall theme of course.

Used a leaf die and cut out two colored leaves and popped them up on the cream. For the third I decided to use the negative piece and let the color cardstock show from behind. Stamped misc sentiment on side and added white gel dots on the scallop borders. Used the Craft-Dee BowZ to make a multi loop bow.

Close up of the bow.

Happy Stamping,
Amber

Pick of the Patch!!!

Hi, it's Patti with a post today. I know I'm late and I apologize, I have had some kind of head crud and didn't feel like doing anything. And I had my project done early!!!!

I wanted to use the orange and brown ribbon that was included in my DT package along with the cute little leaf die! It's just adorable!!!

The title is computer generated and the little pumpkin is stamped and colored with Zig markers! The papers are all scraps from my stash! I did emboss the background paper which is a piece of WorldWin Kromekote paper with and embossing folder!

The bow is actually two bows layered together and then tied together with the brown twine!!! The Craft-dee Bowz tool makes it so easy to make multi loop and multi layered bows!!! And you can make them any size that you need!!!

I hope you enjoyed this little card today, and again I'm sorry for the late post! Please check back to see what the rest of the team has to share later!!!

Good morning everyone! Brenda here, with today's post. Well it's a pretty cool morning, here in Georgia. I'm sitting here having a nice hot cup of coffee, how about you?

Okay, let's get to why you really stopped by. Since this is a month where everybody seems to be thankful, when in reality we really should be thankful everyday. My project is a card for Thanksgiving.

This is a layered 5 X 7 card with a stacked multi colored bow. Made with the Craft-DeeBowz bow maker. I have embellished with handmade flowers by Mcgill and Punch Bunch punches, twigs and leaves by Memory Box dies and a cutting and embossing folder by Spellbinders.

Thank you for stopping by today! Remember to be thankful everyday! Hugs Brenda

Life is Beautiful

Hi there,
Barbara here, thanks for stopping by today to see what's new and to get some inspiration.

The theme this month for the design team is Thanksgiving. I took the approach that Life is Beautiful and of course we are all grateful and thankful for life.

Here is a collage of the different elements of the card.

The bow is a multi-loop bow which is perfect for this card. I wrapped the ribbon around the posts 3 times to make this fluffy bow.

Need a bow maker?? Craft-Dee BowZ has the best and easiest to use bow maker on the market. Click on the Buy Now button on the left sidebar, to order yours today!!

Hope you find inspiration in the cards and projects that the DT members present every week.

Brenda will be back next Tuesday with another one of her beautiful projects. Stop in to see what she has in store for you!!

Have a great week and we hope you will stop back soon.

Get Well, my friend...

One of my favorite students was recently hit by a truck and wound up in the hospital.  She's doing okay, but lives alone and that makes it very hard for her.  She does have a neighbor who looks in on her.  She's always been a special lady to me.  She's had knee and back problems and when she attends my classes, she has to sit up on a stool at the Art Bar.  This always means a lot of running around for me since class supplies are limited and I have to bring whatever tool, ink, stamp, etc. over to her every time.  Sometimes I'd forget she was there because I had my back to her.  We used to laugh it up when she'd very softly say to me, "Donna, can you bring that ink pad to me, please?"  Always with such understanding for her dimwitted teacher who kept forgetting she was there!  So, here's to a speedy recovery, Kay.  We miss you and look forward to having you back as soon as you are on your feet again.  I'll be sure to put flashing lights on the Art Bar so I don't' forget you!

Here's a sweet little get well card I sent to Kay.  This was done using vellum and a paper piercing tool.  The bow, of course, was created from tulle and a few little flowers added for more interest and dimension.   Just thought I'd share.

Have a bow-ti-ful day!

Donna

Poinsettia wire card

Hello bow makers!
I think you all are aware that Barbara and I have been playing with wire lately and Barb has posted a tutorial on a yarn wired flower in the past and I have posted a small wired flower card (see here and here).

Well, since I'm in full Christmas mode due to the many classes I teach, my sticky little fingers touched upon some red wire I had in the drawer (for safe keeping, you know) and the light bulb went off!  If I can make wire flowers, can I make a wire Poinsettia?  This card is simple in its appearance because I was so caught up in the fact that I did, indeed, create a Poinsettia on the Craft-Dee BowZ using wire (so please pardon he utter simplicity of the card).

Using a doily die from Cheery Lynn for a background and some corner dies from Lifestyle Crafts, I then proceeded to make the flower for the center.  I created two Poinsettia's - one in red and one in green and layered them together.   Once I fanned each "petal" out, I used my jewelry pliers and pinched the ends of each to mimic a Poinsettia leaf.   I added some bling for the center but felt something was missing.  So I hand cut some green leaves to provide more background, gave them some shaping and veining and tipped the ends in gold glitter.  Here's a close-up of the Poinsettia.  My apologies for the lack of sharpness, but I think you get the idea.

Here's a laugh at my self that I'll also share about this card.  I was writing this post and linking the picture of the card and I said to myself "gee, I didn't put a bow on it"   DUH!!!  I totally forgot the wire was the focus and took the place of a bow.  I don't think a ribbon bow would have done anything to enhance this card anyway. If anyone finds my mind, would you please send it back to me?   LOL!

Just thought I'd share more of the fun things this little tool does!

Trick or TREATS

So Donna challenged us to make our Craft-Dee BowZ project a non card project but Halloween theme. Well we don't 'celebrate' Halloween at my house so I went way out in left field for my project.

I like to send in goodies with hubby for his co-workers so I decorated a "Treat" container for him to have on his desk that still looks "Halloweenie" but doesn't mention it at all.  Took some of the ribbon Donna sent us and made a triple loop bow by doubling up my ribbons.
Instead of just laying the ends of the ribbon around the container, I decided to twist the two ribbons together. Using a spider web die, I cut out the spider web and attached it just by the corner. If you look closely you will see a small little spider (sticker) on the web. Printed out a pumpkin digi image from Paper Pretties that I colored and added in the corner.

Now what to fill the treat container with? How about Pumpkin Oreo Muddy Buddies? Oh my gosh! I didn't think I was gonna have any left to put in the mini baggies as this stuff is just that good! Tied each baggie up with some ribbon that I had (keeping with the black/orange color theme).

So there is my way out there "Halloween" project. Hope I have inspired you in some way to create your own treat container for your desk. (and who cares if you don't have co-workers... a desk is a desk! ;) )

Inky hugs,
Amber
