The witching hour..

Hello bow makers!  Isn't this one of the most fun times of the year?  We can tap into that inner child that's always lurking and do crazy, spooky, funny things on Halloween.  I have so many fond memories of Halloweens past when my kids were young.  The fun of concocting costumes for them that THEY wanted.  I certainly had to reach deep to come up with something suitable to keep them happy.  But I wouldn't have traded the experience for the world.

Here's a quick little card that I did using some Authentique background papers.  Add a brew-stirring witch and some embellishments, top it off with a double/multipleloop bow and you are done!  I hope to do a video shortly showing just how easy this bow is to make.  I know, I know, we keep coming up with different ways of creating multiple loop bows!  And we do it all for you!

Enjoy and Happy Haunting!

Halloween Keepsake by Karen

Hi there,

I am Guest Designing today and sharing this little Halloween Keepsake. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this.  It's perfect for this time of year. The base for this project is a wooden frame. I added magnets to the back of the frame to add a little versatility to it. I can enjoy the keepsake as a table top piece or a piece of art on the fridge. I used patterned papers by DCWV. The multi loop bow was created using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool.  I love how simple and easy my bows are as a result of  using the bow tool.

Vicki's Monster Treats!

Vicki here to share this week's Craft-Dee BowZ inspiration with you.  Our October theme is Halloween using the colors black, purple and slime, I mean lime green along with a multi loop bow.

My project is a throwback idea that I haven't made in quite a while.  We will be spending Halloween with our grandchildren and I wanted to be sure we have lots of fun treats at the house.  M&Ms are a favorite of everyone, so I created this set of Monster Treats by altering a Starbuck Frappuccino 4 pack.  Each of the 4 bottles has a different type/flavor of M&M candies.

"Monster Treats"

The monster treats include Bat Bites, Crow Corn, Witches Warts and Zombie Zits!

The multi-loop, double bow was made with ease using my Craft-Dee BowZ Tool.

I hope I've inspired you to play along with our October Halloween Challenge,
You could be the winner of a 25 yard spool of ribbon!

October Blog Hop

Welcome to the Craft-Dee BowZ Spook-tacular Blog Hop.

Halloween is such a fun time of the year. Spooky things, costumes, candy, parties. With that in mind, all of our designers have made projects with a Halloween theme. If you send Halloween cards or make bags for the tricker-treater in your house, let us inspire you.

Craft-Dee BowZ has a small design team so it won't take you long to visit the team and leave comments. Leaving comments on the blogs of all the team members will make you eligible to win your very own Craft-Dee BowZ tool. The winner will be announced on Sat. Oct. 11.

To claim your prize you must contact us by email (bbruder@fuse.net) by Saturday Oct. 18. That will give you a week to claim your prize.

To start us off,  lets take a look at Donna's project.
It sure reminds me of a famous house.
Do you know what house I am referring to???
Lets see what project she has scared up for you.

Oh that house is really scary.
Look at that gauze and the bow is made using some sheer organza, a perfect fit for that gauze.

Donna's project was inspired by a trip to Chittenango, NY recently where she got to re-visit the home of Frank L. Baum, the author of the Wizard of Oz (back "in the day" when that was considered a scary movie).  His home and surrounding homes reminded her of this image and she just went with it.   The inked image was mounted onto a piece of corrugated cardboard which was smudged with black ink.   The sentiments were inked, torn  and added to the image.  She then dyed some gauze using purple ink spritzed with water and placed it behind the cardboard (once it was dry).  Next, all the other layers were added then topped with one bow using two different colors of purple and black.  Using scissors, she then cut the ribbon ends into slivers to create a spookier look.

Now it's time to check out Karen's spooky creation

Here is the list of the designers in case you get lost.

Donna (Here on this blog)

From all the designers at Craft-Dee BowZ thanks for stopping by.

Have fun everyone and don't forget to leave comments.

Spooky Halloween

Hi Everyone,

It's Barbara here. It's the first Tuesday of the month and it's time for my October post. Halloween is such a fun time of the year and it's the theme for our posts all month and for the blog hop that runs Thursday and Friday. The design team has some spook-tacular projects in store for you this month and wait til you check out the bows. They're all yummy!!!

Let me share my card with you.

Halloween wouldn't be Halloween without a pumpkin, bats and spiders.I added an embossed spider web and that spider, he's a great die cut. My pumpkin is also a die cut and I added the funny face to give him some personality.

Take a peek of the close-up of my multi-loop bow. To make this bow I actually made three separate multi-loop bows and stacked and tied them together at the center.

Here is a close-up of the bow that I attached to the tag, This bow is a triple loop bow.

Don't forget to stop back Thursday for the start of our blog hop. You're sure to have some spooky fun and if you leave comments on all the designers blogs you will be eligible to win your own Craft-Dee BowZ tool. The winner will be announced Saturday.

Thanks for stopping in today, hope to see you Thursday.
