The falling leaves, drift by my window...

Some of you are old enough to remember the song as quoted in the title!

I am so excited to be bringing you a set of leaves from Diemond Dies!  I had so much fun creating this project.  My background paper has a very faint leaf print in it and I lightly brushed Antique Linen Distress paint over it to dull it down a bit.  Next I stamped my basket (Stamps by Judith), colored it and fussy cut it out.

Then the fun began!  I used watercolor paper both for it's ability to absorb color showing lots of texture  and also for its thickness.  Using different fall colors of Distress Ink, I inked up a piece of watercolor paper blending all my colors together.  Then came the die cutting -- so smooth and easy with these dies, they just pop out when cut.  Next I drew veins in the leaves and shaped and bent them using my fingers (the easiest tool I know of!) and placed them in the basket.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the edges of the background paper and then created my bow on the Craft-Dee BowZ tool using three different color ribbons.  I think it really showcases the entire project.

We hope you'll continue to drop by the blog for the remaining week of November to see what our last designer has put together for you.

THEN, I will have one more surprise to show you the first week of December using these fantastic dies!

Don't forget, leave comments on all the designers' projects -- your name gets added to the "pot" every time you leave a comment giving you  more chances of winning the Fancy Flowers set!!!

Don't forget to look at our November Challenge page for even MORE inspiration for these dies.

Thanks for dropping by and have a Bow-ti-ful day!
