Snowflakes, snowflakes and more snowflakes

Well, here we are heading towards the end of February already. Today is the fourth Tuesday of the month and it's my turn to post a card for Craft-Dee BowZ using this beautiful image by Francesca of Cute As A Button. The image I chose today is named Winter Flurries.

The snowflake border is a die by Whimsy and I added clear Skiddles to the middle of each snowflake. My sentiment is by Whimsy, too. The snowflakes in the top right corner are a die by La-La Land. I coated the snowflakes in the corner with my Sakura Glue Pen and then coated them with Cool Glitter Ritz. You can see the Cool Glitter Ritz below on the snowflakes, her hat, cuffs, collar and boots, too. For the snowman I used Stampendous Snow Glitter. I added the little purple pearls as an accent on the top string of each snowflake.

And the best part is the bow! This is a double loop bow made on my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. My bow tool has so many assorted sizes to fit every project I'm working on. I love my little bow tool and it hangs by it's pretty ribbon right next to my work table. It's the one tool I use on almost every card! I added this little blue snowflake in the middle with a bit of glue.

Our sponsor is Cute As A Button.  Francesca at Cute As A Button is a wonderful artist and I know you'll love her artwork. She's donating two digital images of the winner's choice! Why not stop by her store and take a look at her fabulous images!

Thanks for coming over and looking at my card and reading the details of it. I hope you've seen Barb's, Vicki's and Tracey's cards this month...and if you haven't, please stop by the Craft-Dee BowZ blog and take a peek at their posts. I know you won't regret the few moments it takes to see their projects.

It's almost the end of the month which means you need to get your cards posted on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog within the next few days. Remember that the challenge is ANYTHING GOES WITH A HANDMADE BOW

A Winters Day

Hi All
It's Tracey here and it is my turn to show you my creation for this month....The Dt have been creating their individual  projects using the theme of  "Snowflakes "  and the colours of blue navy and silver. I have chosen a silvery grey  project for you
.I have used the image called Winters Day...Isn't she  a sweetie  from Cute as a button who are the sponsors for the February challenge here at Craft-Dee BowZ  .

I coloured her with promarkers and used First edition Christmas Wishes papers from Trimcraft. I also used the Sue Wilson/ creative expressions snowflake die set.The handmade flower is made using the heartfelt creations Arianna blooms die and stamp set  ,which I stamped and embossed onto white card and acetate using glitter embossing powder. the centre gem is from wild orchid

The chipboard snowflake on the front panel has been coloured with pebeo silver guilding wax and had a gem added to the centre, these fab chipboards were sent along with the pretty silver ribbon as part of my MPP pack.

I also used my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow making tool to form the pretty bow

Here is what the inside of the card looks like when opened

well that's all from me ..It is now up to you to join us in the "Anything goes with a handmade bow February challenge with your own project ...good luck and Happy Crafting

"Snowfall"

Vicki here...It's my Tuesday up on the Craft-Dee BowZ Blog.

Before I go on, don't forget...the Craft-Dee BowZ February Challenge is, once again, being sponsored by Cute As A Button .  They will be awarding a prize of two single digital images of the top winner's choice.  There's plenty of time to create and enter!  You don't want to miss this....so be sure to play along with us.

Thank You, Cute As A Button!

Moving on...

The Design Team is appropriately working with a "snowflake" theme this month along with the colors of light blue, silver and navy.  The ribbons we received were gorgeous and I had the perfect papers and die cuts for this project!
"Snowfall"

"Snowfall" is just a dabble of what we had the end of January.  What started out as a weather prediction of 6 to 10 inches, turned into a total of 32 inches for us...All in a matter of twelve hours.  The snowflakes were piling up rapidly, layer upon layer.  Which brings me to my layered, dimensional card.

This card is a size I rarely make, but the snowflake border die was just too pretty to cut down to a smaller size.  I added dimension by using a snowflake border punch and layering over the die cut border.  Sparkly jewels were the perfect accent for the snowflakes.  Reminds me of glistening snow!

The background is two different patterned papers matted in white pearl paper over the navy cardstock base.  The chipboard sentiment is accented with a couple of the snowflakes remaining from the border that I punched across the top of the card.

Everything in layers...including the ribbon and bow!  I layered the light blue over the navy ribbon across the front of the card and behind the sentiment.  The bow is one of my very favorite!  I made two single bows and joined them together at the center tie.  This was all made easy using my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow Making Tool.  If you don't have one, you need one!  Small and easily stored.
