Boo to you!

Hello, it's my Tuesday morning to post on the Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog with my card for this month's inspiration!  The team had the challenge of using lime green, orange and black. I realized, while pulling paper and picking out an image, that I love this color combination! The challenge for YOU is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW. The team got to use their own images and I used this image named Magical Day by All Dressed Up. Isn't this one cute little witch and the perfect time to make this card with Halloween one week away!

She's colored with Copics and I added glitter to her wings, hair barrette and stars. The black border pumpkin is a punch and I punched the border in black and then orange and then glued the orange pieces into the spaces. Yes, I realized afterwards I could have just lightly glued the black punched border down on solid orange and used my scissors to cut around the top punch. But, it was something I didn't think about until AFTER I finished findings those tiny oranges pieces and getting them in the spaces. Oh, sometimes I just wonder about my patience level...it's so high for stuff like this and then it's zero when I'm driving home from work in traffic.

Okay, everyone go "oooohhhh" and "aaaaahhhhhh" at my bow. I used two different orange ribbons and used my hand dandy Craft-Dee BowZ bow tool to make this double looped, double ribbon bow. If we ever have a bow contest, I'm going to win. Yep, me...with my little bow tool. I adore this bow. I think it might be one of my Top 5 best bows on my blog. I had the perfect ribbons (thank you, Donna, at Craft-Dee BowZ) and with the bow tool, I couldn't go wrong. So, what do you think of this orange bow?!

Being that it's the fourth Tuesday of the month, and if you follow our challenge blog, you know I'm the last to post each month and I like that! The challenge is about to end, you're feeling rushed and want to enter, and then I post my cute little card that inspires you. Right?

Take a look at the gorgeous cards and projects posted before mine this month and I hope you'll pull out an image, die cuts, pretty paper, or whatever...and make yourself a handmade bow for that project since there's a few more days before the challenge closes at Craft-Dee BowZ where the challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW.

Spooky witches house and matching card

Hi
It is Tracey here with my inspiration post for this month .. I had a real fun time making this card and chipboard house set ... Sorry for all the pics ...
The cute image is from Mo Manning which I coloured with promarkers. The bats, ghost spider and web are from a sizzix  sizzlit die set called my life  .The happy Halloween words were computer generated. The papers are from my stash The gorgeous ribbon was part of my pack from Donna this month ,it made such a beautiful bow .I used my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow making tool to form the double looped bow.

the witches house was a chipboard kit  from HERE .I built it  then added heavy black gesso ,orange acrylic paint ,pebeo guilding wax.some ghosts and bats  and the word boo which I used a sizzix xl die for and finished it with a matching ribbon on the base.

I hope you like my projects and that they inspire you to join in the anything with a handmade bow challenge this month
Happy crafting

"BOO" Sweet Treats!

Vicki here...it's my Tuesday up on the Craft-Dee BowZ Blog with my October inspiration.  The Design Team is playing with ribbons, of course, in the colors of black, orange and lime green.  Halloween colors, right?  And that's just where our theme, "Boo to you" is taking you!

When I was taking out the fall decorations last week, I realized that most of the Halloween items we have are seriously old and falling apart.  So, it was a good time for me to create new decorations to display for the grandchildren.

My inspirational projects....

These wooden letters spelling the word, "BOO" were the perfect decoration for the mantle.  I traced the letters on patterned paper and then painted the edges with black acrylic.  While the paint was drying, I cut out the letters and inked the edges.  Then I adhered them to the matching wooden block.  A few embellishments to give it that "Halloween" look and, voilĂ ! A fun decoration.

Next, I altered a mulberry pint box to hold candy treats which I also decorated for Halloween.  I sprayed the box with 3 different colors of mist and then a coat of glitter spray.  A ghost and fab bow with a fun orange bell were the only embellishing needed.  I lined the box with white cheese cloth and added the candy treats shown below.

These sweet treats are mini candy bars wrapped in patterned paper and tucked into a clear plastic bag.  I placed a bow at the top of each bag.  These treats added to the pint box will make a great gift for someone special.

And last, a fun side step card using the same patterned papers on the "BOO" letters and candy treats.
All of the fabulous bows you see on the projects above were created with the help of my Craft-Dee BowZ Tool.  Always nearby, it helps making bows easy!

Trick or Treat

Hello everyone
Barbara here today. As my mom would say "A day late and a dollar short." Well I am late on this post and I am truly sorry. I just noticed I was due to post on Tuesday. Boy I scrambled to get this card ready for you. (I think I lost a day this week already- bummer. Hope it was a good day. LOL)

This month the designers are focusing on the Halloween theme with our projects that we are bringing to you. So here is what I came up with in a very short time frame.

My bow is comprised of 3 single loop bows that are stacked on top of each other.
And you know the Craft-Dee BowZ tool makes this type of a bow easy to make.

The Craft-Dee BowZ challenge is underway and the theme every month is "Anything Goes."

Thanks much for stopping by and hope to see your project in our challenge this month.
