A Rose For You

Hi Everyone
Barbara here and even though it's the last Tuesday of the month and I am popping in with another inspiration card to delight your crafting senses.  LOL

Just a reminder,  Friday is September 1, and that means that CDB will be starting the next monthly challenge. Please stop by then to check out the winners of the current challenge and to see the inspiration projects made by our talented designers for you for September.

OK let me share my card for August.

I started with a 6"X 6" card base. Next I added a pink holographic piece cut to 5 3/4" X 5 3/4" and layered that on top of the card base.

Next I cut a pink piece 5 1/2" X 5 1/2". I punched the area on the left using a Martha Stewart  Punch all over the Page. Next, I added another border on the right, using a white CS strip and using that same punch. I attached my bow thru some of the lattice openings on the left side.

I have been playing around with my Mini Minc Machine and I had this cool Rose w/ leaves outline. Well I couldn't get it to foil. But I have a pen that has liquid toner in it so I covered the rose and the leaves using that, added the pink foil to the rose and the green foil to the leaves and ran it thru the Minc and it worked great.

Next I added pink CS to the back of the rose and some green CS to the back of the leaves and popped it up on the front of the card.

Last but not least I made some handmade flowers for the bottom right corner area and used 2 leaf punches to add the greenery to my handmade flowers.

Thanks for stopping in today. You still have a day or so to enter the August Challenge, you could be the winner!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project. Hope you will link a project in our monthly challenge. Don’t forget our theme every month is always Anything Goes with a Handmade bow.  Also on each Tuesday of the month a different designer will post here on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog to inspire you!

Thanks so much for stopping by today I hope you will be back Friday to see what's up for September.

Play on Words

I love when a sentiment plays on words. The sentiment and image on my card today is by Mo Manning. Today is my day to post on Craft-Dee BowZ since it's the fourth Tuesday of the month. Our challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ is ANYTHING GOES WITH A HAND MADE BOW
This is a large card and measures 7.5 inches x 7.5 inches. I colored the image with Copics and although you probably can't tell, I added Wink of Stella to her wings and tiara.
I used a combination of flowers from The Ribbon Girl, byThita, Michael's and Wild Orchid Flowers. I love flowers, ribbon, lace, and pretty things and had fun arranging these on the card.
I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow tool to make this bow and I used this pretty sheer peach colored ribbon. The bow is a triple-loop and was so easy to make using my bow tool.
Have you seen the other wonderful cards made this month by Kathy and Tracey? With a team of just 4, each Tuesday is a special day at Craft-Dee BowZ. Next week is Barb's posting so please stop back to see her creation.

The prize this month from our sponsor, Cute As A Button Designs, is 3 single images of the winner's choice.

Thanks for stopping by!

A little mixed media plaque

Hi
It is Tracey here with my mid month inspiration project . I thought I would do a sweet little mixed media plaque for a change.
It started life as a basic mdf  heart .I added some pretty papers ,stamped on the paper with grey ink and a lovely Indigoblu script stamp to add interest to the background. I then added further texture by adding texture paste through a butterfly stencil.
I applied white gesso using the dry brush technique to the plaque to give it a white wash effect. The words have been stencilled onto white card using a Phil martin creative expressions stencil and lilac ink. I used grey-board and  the sizzix  Bigz  XL caged bird die for the birdcage which I painted with gesso to match the project.
The flowers  are from wild orchid and they were dipped in glue and then into  glitter  to make them sparkle. The bird has been made using the stampin up bird bunch.
The stunning bow was made using ribbon from my MPP pack and of course my trusty                 Craft-dee Bowz  bow maker which makes stunning bows every time and you can find out how to get one from the sidebar on the left

That is how I made the plaque ,I hope you like it and that you will join us for this months challenge where Anything goes with a handmade bow...
Happy Crafting

Emma and Ellie

Hi there, Kathy here and it's my Tuesday to post on the Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog. Have you had a chance to enter into our August challenge.  We have some really amazing creations from all over and there is such great talent from everyone.

My card was made using this adorable little image called Emma and Ellie from Connie Fong. Isn't she and her elephant just adorable.

After printing her out, I colored her up with my Copic markers.

The flower is from my Wild Orchid Crafts collection, die is from LRDS (it can be found here), card stock and printed papers are from my stash.  The ribbons, were made using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool.  Have you tried this tool yet? If not what are you waiting for?  It can be found here.  It is so easy to use and makes a perfect bow every time.  I stuck a stick pin that I added beads to through the two bows.  Then I made a loop out of the end and added a tear drop bead as to appear as if it were a charm.  Again things I had in my stash.

I hope you have enjoyed this little card and I really hope I was able to inspire you. Remember to join us for the August Challenge, theme is Anything Goes with an added Handmade Bow.  Can't wait to see what all you have to share with us.

Hugs,

Kathy
