Snow skiing...did I ever tell you the story about...

I went snow skiing. Once. I went to Powder Ridge Ski Resort in Connecticut in January 1974 and broke my left tibia and fibula in a spiral fracture my first time down the mountain as soon as I got off the ski lift. No lie, and I've got one leg 1/2" shorter than the other due to that injury. Yep, so when I think of snow skiing I think of sitting in a lodge in front of a fireplace with a drink in one hand looking cute in neat looking boots with fur inside them, a cute sweater and black legging pants and watching the flames flicker. But when I saw this very cute Sassy Cheryl image, I couldn't resist him so he's my card for this month at Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog where today is my Tuesday to post my creation! And no, I don't ever imagine it's me flying down the mountain.
I had fun making this cared and using white paint, glitter and my new winter tree and branch die cuts. I colored my image with Copics.
And my bow is like icing on the cake. This ribbon was the perfect color to use for this card and using my bow tool guaranteed me a perfect bow. I made a double loop bow and it was so easy to do and is an awesome embellishment for this card!
Our sponsor this month is the wonderful Beccy's PlaceBeccy's Place will provide the winner of the challenge with their choice of one set of digital stamps. Yes, that's correct, a whole set!!

Have you seen the other wonderful cards made this month by Barb, Kathy and Tracey? With a team of just 4, each Tuesday is a special day at Craft-Dee BowZ. Since this is the last Tuesday of the month, if you have your creation ready to post, you need to do so right away. Remember, our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW!

Merry Christmas card and candle set

Hi
It is Tracey here with my  mid month inspiration post .I must confess that I have only just made a start on my Christmas cards for this year ,I really must get going on them instead of leaving them until last minute as always.
I was inspired to make this little set after receiving the most beautiful wide wired and glittered ribbon in my Mpp pack from the craft-dee bowz boss. It made  such beautiful bows using my Craft-dee Bowz  bow maker .

The  cute digital image is from Pink gem and I coloured her using my new nuvo tonic alcohol markers.I also paper pieced her collar ,cuffs, boots and hat.The background was created using a music embossing folder from crafters companion.

The snowflakes are made using spellbinders snowflake dies .

It was quite a quick and easy card to make really ,just some thin matting and layers to add a little detail and that was it
I just made a cuff to wrap around the candle using the same card and elements to match the card ..

I hope you like my project and that it inspires you to join us in the  Craft-deebowz. challenge where Anything goes with a handmade bow
Happy crafting

Merry Kiss-mas

Hello, Kathy here and it is my Tuesday to post for our Challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.

For my project I chose this little Polar Bear image from Newton's Nook called Holiday Smooches.  For some reason this image just said it needed to be used on a shaker card.  So I set out to create a shaker card.

I colored the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  Sponged some Distress Oxide ink onto a 4 1/2" square and then cut the center to create the shaker window.

I filled the shaker window with some seed beads and other shaker material, then added the polar bears on the top layer of the shaker.  I placed the shaker piece to the blue card base that was layered with a base of white, then a light blue that I stamped some snow flakes using versa mark ink to give the watermark affect.

I created the bow using the Craft-Dee BowZ bow maker, which makes creating a bow super simple.  Love my bow maker.  If you have not gotten one yet, please be sure to pick one up.  You won't regret it.

I do hope you have enjoyed my card today, for more information, please see my blog.  And please be sure to come by and join in with the November challenge that is going on right now, we look forward to seeing what you have created.

Also I would like to mention that our sponsor this month is Beccy's Place.  She has some really cute images so go grab one, two, three or more of some of her images.  They are all so darling.

And remember to tune in for next Tuesday to see what Tracey has created.  I know it will be beautiful.

Hygs,
Kathy

Heaven and Nature Sing

Hello everyone,
Barbara here. It's the 1st Tuesday of November and that means it's time for me share a Craft-Dee BowZ project.

I'm in the Christmas mode so I want to share a card that is in the Christmas spirit.

Beccy's Place is the sponsor for the November challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ

The prize is 1 digital set
The challenge runs until Nov.29 so you have plenty of time to create something and enter it.

Since we are really in the Christmas season already, I decided to make a Christmas card and use a bird image as the focal point. I love birds and this one really caught my eye.

This cutie is in the Baby Robin set
1 bird and 4 sentiments come in this set
and the bird can be used the year round.

Hey, have you noticed my bow?

If you struggle with making a bow, let me suggest the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool.  It can make a bow anywhere from 1" to 4" in size. The tool is handy, portable and it's a tool that is so easy to use. Besides the instructions that accompany the tool itself, there are online videos that make it easy to follow along.

To order your very own,
the ordering spot is on the left sidebar.
These make great Christmas gifts, too.

Don't forget the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge is going on right now. We'd love to see your project.

In the meantime, stop back next Tuesday to see what
Kathy has in store for you.

Thanks for stopping in today
HUGS xx
