Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone is having a nice holiday season.  It's my week to post my creation at Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog. My card for this post is one made by Bildmalarna, a stamp company that no longer exists. I love the stamps from this company and own a good many of them!
I colored my image with Copics and enjoyed using paint and glitter on the fur of her boots, coat and mittens. I added some extra 'snow' to the trees and ground, too. for the snow on the ground and on the trees.
My bow is very special....I made a 3" red bow and a 2 1/2" red bow and slid the smaller bow into the larger bow knot and got this awesome looking 4 loop bow. I LOVE how it came out and it is even prettier in person than in the photos.  My bow tool is the reason my bows are so pretty on every card. The loops come out even and smooth and with the help of the bow tool, every knot comes out perfect.
Our sponsor this month is Cute As A Button and the prize is 3 single images of the winner's choice!

Have you seen the other wonderful cards made this month by Barb, Kathy and Tracey? With a team of just 4, each Tuesday is a special day at Craft-Dee BowZ. Please take a look at the projects and if you have a moment, we'd love a comment or two!

Christmas Cutie

Hi
It is Tracey here with my inspiration post ....
I have challenged myself this year to use up some of the Christmas stash that I have had lurking around since last Christmas and I can honestly say I have ...hand on heart used last years stash  on this card. I used an image from Wee stamps .

The scalloped frame is a spellbinders die. The poinsettia flowers are handmade using a die set  from Marianne D designs [3 YRS OLD NOW !]

The papers are by Trimcraft and are from a year ago ...
The ribbon  has been turned into this beautiful double looped bow using my Craft-Dee BowZ Bowmaker [SEE SIDEBAR FOR DETAILS].
It creates beautiful bows every time with minimum effort

I hope you like my cute card and that you have a very Merry Christmas ...with your friends and family
See you next year

Snow skiing...did I ever tell you the story about...

I went snow skiing. Once. I went to Powder Ridge Ski Resort in Connecticut in January 1974 and broke my left tibia and fibula in a spiral fracture my first time down the mountain as soon as I got off the ski lift. No lie, and I've got one leg 1/2" shorter than the other due to that injury. Yep, so when I think of snow skiing I think of sitting in a lodge in front of a fireplace with a drink in one hand looking cute in neat looking boots with fur inside them, a cute sweater and black legging pants and watching the flames flicker. But when I saw this very cute Sassy Cheryl image, I couldn't resist him so he's my card for this month at Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog where today is my Tuesday to post my creation! And no, I don't ever imagine it's me flying down the mountain.
I had fun making this cared and using white paint, glitter and my new winter tree and branch die cuts. I colored my image with Copics.
And my bow is like icing on the cake. This ribbon was the perfect color to use for this card and using my bow tool guaranteed me a perfect bow. I made a double loop bow and it was so easy to do and is an awesome embellishment for this card!
Our sponsor this month is the wonderful Beccy's PlaceBeccy's Place will provide the winner of the challenge with their choice of one set of digital stamps. Yes, that's correct, a whole set!!

Have you seen the other wonderful cards made this month by Barb, Kathy and Tracey? With a team of just 4, each Tuesday is a special day at Craft-Dee BowZ. Since this is the last Tuesday of the month, if you have your creation ready to post, you need to do so right away. Merry Christmas card and candle set

Hi
It is Tracey here with my  mid month inspiration post .I must confess that I have only just made a start on my Christmas cards for this year ,I really must get going on them instead of leaving them until last minute as always.
I was inspired to make this little set after receiving the most beautiful wide wired and glittered ribbon in my Mpp pack from the craft-dee bowz boss. It made  such beautiful bows using my Craft-dee Bowz  bow maker .

The  cute digital image is from Pink gem and I coloured her using my new nuvo tonic alcohol markers.I also paper pieced her collar ,cuffs, boots and hat.The background was created using a music embossing folder from crafters companion.

The snowflakes are made using spellbinders snowflake dies .

It was quite a quick and easy card to make really ,just some thin matting and layers to add a little detail and that was it
I just made a cuff to wrap around the candle using the same card and elements to match the card ..

I hope you like my project and that it inspires you to join us in the  Craft-deebowz. challenge where Anything goes with a handmade bow
Happy crafting

Merry Kiss-mas

Hello, Kathy here and it is my Tuesday to post for our Challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.

For my project I chose this little Polar Bear image from Newton's Nook called Holiday Smooches.  For some reason this image just said it needed to be used on a shaker card.  So I set out to create a shaker card.

I colored the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  Sponged some Distress Oxide ink onto a 4 1/2" square and then cut the center to create the shaker window.

I filled the shaker window with some seed beads and other shaker material, then added the polar bears on the top layer of the shaker.  I placed the shaker piece to the blue card base that was layered with a base of white, then a light blue that I stamped some snow flakes using versa mark ink to give the watermark affect.

I created the bow using the Craft-Dee BowZ bow maker, which makes creating a bow super simple.  Love my bow maker.  If you have not gotten one yet, please be sure to pick one up.  You won't regret it.

I do hope you have enjoyed my card today, for more information, please see my blog.  And please be sure to come by and join in with the November challenge that is going on right now, we look forward to seeing what you have created.

Also I would like to mention that our sponsor this month is Beccy's Place.  She has some really cute images so go grab one, two, three or more of some of her images.  They are all so darling.

And remember to tune in for next Tuesday to see what Tracey has created.  I know it will be beautiful.

Kathy

Heaven and Nature Sing

Hello everyone,
Barbara here. It's the 1st Tuesday of November and that means it's time for me share a Craft-Dee BowZ project.

I'm in the Christmas mode so I want to share a card that is in the Christmas spirit.

Beccy's Place is the sponsor for the November challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ

The prize is 1 digital set
The challenge runs until Nov.29 so you have plenty of time to create something and enter it.

Since we are really in the Christmas season already, I decided to make a Christmas card and use a bird image as the focal point. I love birds and this one really caught my eye.

This cutie is in the Baby Robin set
1 bird and 4 sentiments come in this set
and the bird can be used the year round.

Hey, have you noticed my bow?

If you struggle with making a bow, let me suggest the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool.  It can make a bow anywhere from 1" to 4" in size. The tool is handy, portable and it's a tool that is so easy to use. Besides the instructions that accompany the tool itself, there are online videos that make it easy to follow along.

To order your very own,
the ordering spot is on the left sidebar.
These make great Christmas gifts, too.

Don't forget the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge is going on right now. We'd love to see your project.

In the meantime, stop back next Tuesday to see what
Kathy has in store for you.

Thanks for stopping in today
HUGS xx

Snow Friends

Well, it's the last Tuesday of the month and as a member of the Craft-Dee BowZ team, I have a card to share for you. I used this very adorable Bugaboo image named Two Snowmen.

I colored my image with Copics and decided to do a traditional red and green theme. Here's my image close-up. Lots of fun coloring snowmen!

And then I decided to use some gorgeous red ribbon given to me by Donna at Craft-Dee BowZ.  I made a double looped bow using my bow tool. It was so simple to make and it came out perfect the first time. I use a lot less ribbon when I use my bow tool since I make a bow once and it's done!

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps. As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was six years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
The challenge prize this month is FOUR digital images, winner's choice, from Bugaboo Stamps!

Have you seen each of the Team's projects this month? Each Tuesday one of us posts so please take a look and if you have a moment, please leave a comment. I hope you'll join us each month at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW challenge!

I love snowmen!

I haven't met a snowman I didn't love. Hahaha!  I love snowmen images and always have! I was raised where it snows and remember building snowmen and coming in with soaking wet mittens that were put on the radiator to dry. When I saw this image, I just had to use him for my card this month at Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog.  The image is by Bugaboo.
I interpreted this image to be a bird with the snowman. I colored him to be a baby robin, then I did another card and colored him to be a baby cardinal. Then I'm not sure what happened except that I looked at my cards and thought: OMG is this supposed to be a penguin with the snowman?!  So, on that note, this is to tell you that artists can interpret things different from each other and I interpreted this to be a baby bird. I colored my image with Copics and added glitter by Stampendous named "Snow" to my snowman's body.
My bow is a triple loop made with blue seam binding and I glued a metal snowflake in the middle of the knot just to carry on the theme of snow. Using my bow tool guarantees me great bows. By not having to hold it all in my hands, and letting the bow tool do most of the work, I spend less time and use less ribbon since there are no mistakes!

My Daughter's Birthday Card

Hi
It is Tracey here with my inspiration project for this month. It was my Daughter's Birthday in September so I made this pretty card for her . Danielle likes to frame her cards so I very rarely add a Birthday sentiment to the front of the card . I used the pretty digital image from Delicious Doodles called Blossom which I coloured with Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens.

I made the flowers using a creatuive expressions die set called perfect peonies.

The butterfly border was a die from Tim Holtz ..The stamped sentiment is from Pink Gem ..

The stunning bow was created using my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow making Tool ..

I hope you like my project and that it inspires you to join us in the challenge where Anything goes with a handmade bow
Happy crafting
