Fairy Wishes

Have you ever picked your embellishments before your image for a card you want to make? Or do you color and then go to your stash of supplies?  I usually pick my image, then my paper, color and then pick embellishments. I did things different for this card. I picked my ribbon first, then my paper, then my image.

It's my week to post on Craft-Dee BowZ where the monthly challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW.  I chose this image from Make It Crafty for my card.
Here's another view so you can see the sparkle and shine of my rhinestones. My rhinestone swirls were just clear and I used my Copic markers to color them and match my ribbon and paper. I just love how they came out!
I colored my image with Copics and added some glitter paper circles around her for additional shine. It's hard to see, but I used clear iridescent glitter for her fairy dust.
My bow is a triple looped bow and I could never have made this without my bow tool. I looped it twice around and then looped it once more on the inside of my bow bars and held the smaller loop while I tied it off. I would have needed at least 3 hands to make this bow but my little bow tool is so helpful and handy. If you like bows on your cards or projects, order this for yourself now!

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo. The winner of this challenge will receive 4 images of the winner's choice! The team has made some adorable cards this month and I hope you'll take a look at them and be inspired! I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW challenge!

Wonderful birthday card ...

 Hi
It is June already ... WOW this year has flown by .
Here is my inspiration project for this month i challenges myself to NOT use a hand colored image.... I have used the most gorgeous papers for this one they are from Anna Marie Designs and are 7x7 in size . ..I used a stamp from my stash for the sentiment and stampin up certainly celery ink which is the perfect match for the papers.
The small roses and buds were from wild orchid and are pre made . The large flower with the gem centre i have made myself using white  Foamiran and altenew  ink to colour it .the gem in the centre is from wild orchid.

The flourishes are made using a memory box die. the larger leaves are cut from the same Anna Marie papers using a leaf die.
The mdf fern circle  around the sentiment came from crafteezee and i added 2 die cuts to enhace it using the same papers i have used throughout the project
The multi looped bow was created using my Craftdeebowz bow making tool.

Well thats all from me for now and i hope that you will join us in the monthly challenge where anything goes with a handmade bow
Happy crafting

"Just for You"

Hello and Kathy here, it's my Tuesday to post for some inspiration.

For my hosting project, I created a card that resembled a wrapped gift using this Stamping Bella Butterfly stamp. I stamped the image onto Copic friendly paper and colored her with various Copic markers. Then I stamped it the second time and colored only the wings. After cutting the image out and then just cutting the wings out of the second stamped image, I adhered the separate wings onto the top of the first image.

I had this idea in my head that I wanted to place the image onto a big bow. I pulled out my Craft-Dee BowZ tool and created a double loop bow, then created a triple loop bow. I created a gradient piece of card stock using my Distress Oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick. I placed some ribbon as if to appear it was wrapped around a present. Then I found the "Just for You" sentiment from My Favorite Things in my stash. Stamped it with Versamark ink, embossed it with white embossing powder and used the Worn Lipstick to add color to the tag.

I added the double loop bow onto the inked 6x6 and then placed the triple loop bow on top of the double. I decided to add some sequins and beads to the bow, added the tag and last but not least added my image and my 'present card' was finished.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that I have inspired you. We look forward in seeing what you have to share with us..  Be sure to visit our Sponsor Bugaboo, she has some really cute images to choose from.

Up next is Tracey and wait till you see what she has to share.

Until next time,
Kathy

Thinking of You

Hey, how are you doing today!!

Barbara here for the Tuesday inspiration over at Craft-Dee BowZ. I used to work with an old technique, Iris Folding, and I thought I'd make a card showing off this really great technique.

Years ago this was so popular. However, I have not seen this lately, so, I thought I'd make a card and put some Iris Folding on it.

There used to be books that were available, however, the only place I am seeing some of those books is on Amazon.

Also if you go to Pinterest, you will see quite a few patterns that may be of interest to you.

Let me share my card with you.

Iris folding is a great way to use scraps of designer paper, using scrapbook weight. Cardstock weight is too thick, because of the folding of strips of paper. I took the liberty of adding some dark green strips between the DP. This, to me, just adds additional interest and definition to the image.

That bow is made using my Craft-Dee BowZ tool.
I made a triple loop bow.
If you are bow challenged then this is the tool for you.
Its small, lightweight, takes up little space and is easy to use.

Let me show a closer view of my bow

I used a sheer ribbon, my fav.
It's a triple loop bow and sits in the front bottom corner, the perfect spot

If you would like to order this tool, click on the order spot on the left sidebar.

Well, hope you like Iris Folding.
Maybe you can do an Iris Folding project and submit it in the CDB Challenge for June.

The theme is Anything Goes so this or anything you submit will work.
Just remember your submission must contain a handmade bow.
Our sponsor is Bugaboo
The prize is 4 digital images.
You could be the June winner

The challenge is a monthly challenge so you have some time to get your project made and submitted.

I am looking forward to seeing your submission.

Stop back next Tuesday to see what Kathy's inspiration project will be.
