To swim as free as a mermaid

Are there days you'd just like to be a mermaid? I love the ocean and I'm a fan of mermaid stamps. If I could wish to come back as something after I die, I think I'd pick a mermaid. This image is from Sherri Baldy and I fell in love with her the minute I saw her.

It's the fourth Tuesday of the month, so it's my turn to post here for Craft-Dee BowZ.  Each week a different team member gets to post a card or project of their choice. So here I am with my card.

I colored my image with Copics and used clear glitter on the seashells across the bottom and then colored the glitter with my markers. They still have the glittery look without the mess of using numerous colors of glitter.

I love my bow tool. I don't think I make many cards anymore that don't have ribbon or lace on them and my little bow tool helps me make the perfect bows. You can see my bow below and how pretty it turned out. It's a great embellishment on this card and I do love embellishments!  I can honestly say that a CAS card is a tremendous challenge for me and I'm more comfortable adding stuff to a card than keeping it clean and simple.

Here's what my little bow tool looks like...pretty simple to use and it hangs on a nail right next to me!

Our sponsor this month is Gerda Steiner Designs and the winner of this challenge gets to pick two images from this fantastic on-line store.
You've got two more days to enter our ANYTHING GOES challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ!

                                                                    Thanks for stopping by!

Warm Wishes

Hi

It is tracey here with my mid month inspiration post . Christmas is a time for batch making quick easy cards for  charity or even to send out to friends and family we might not get to meet this year  . i have made this quick abnd easy card using a sweet  mittens stamp from Chloe . I stamped and heat embossed the mittens with gold wow powder and also did the same technique with the snowflake stamps i had free from a magazine and a sentiment from my stash .

i used some packaging for behind the mittens. i added little twine bows made using my craft-deebowz bowmaking tool. i rounded card edges and added some gems and that was it really ... very simple to create and would look great in any colour combination

I hope you like my project and that you have a go creating it yourself ..

Happy crafting

Boo

Hello there, Kathy here and it is my turn to host for the month of October.

For my hosting project, I created a haunted house box, using a few Spellbinder Dies.  I cut 2 pieces of the house, then I did some ink blending using Distress Oxide inks around the edges.  After the edges were inked I used a brick stencil to create bricks.  Then I cut the windows and the door, after cutting those I cut out a tree, cat, fence and some bats.

I made the bow using my Craft-Dee-BowZ tool and adhered it to the roof.

I plan on creating several of these cute little boxes so I can fill them with candy for the special Trick-or-Treaters that always come by my house.

I hope I have inspired you and I hope that you will join in during the challenge.  Our sponsor for the this month is Gerda Steiner Designs.

She has some adorable images so please pay her a visit, I'm sure you will find something in her shop that you will enjoy.  Up next is Tracey.

Until next time,
Kathy

Fall and Pumpkins

Barbara here and......

Welcome to the first Inspiration Tuesday post in October. Do you believe it, Fall is really here!!!
Every Tuesday the designers take turns posting an inspiration project for your viewing pleasure.

Today I decided to share a card that I made depicting pumpkins and fall and of course my card has a bow but this time I used Bakers Twine in an orange shade in keeping with the fall theme I had in mind.

Let me share my card with you

Pumpkins always remind me of fall so
I used an image from Bugaboo that fit the bill

Here is a closer view of my bow.

This is a multiple loop bow and
I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make this bakers twine bow.
Works great with the twine,too.

The CDB tool really aides me in making all my bows.
And you don't need to use ribbon.
My bakers twine bow is a perfect example

Do you have your CDB tool yet?? No???
This tool is smaller, easy to use, travels well and it's easy to store.
It will make bows from 1" to 4 1/2"
You can order yours by clicking on the
Buy Now button here on the left sidebar.

Just a reminder -
