Steampunk it is!

It's the fourth Tuesday of the month...and that means it's my turn to post on Craft-Dee BowZ. I love how this team of four each gets our own Tuesday every month to make a project and be featured. It's hard to be the fourth Tuesday of the month, though, as the projects from my fellow design team members have preceded me and they are truly outstanding projects! And here's some fabulous news.  Our team of four have decided to stay together for 2016!

The Design Team had two topics to chose from: Numbers or Steampunk and the colors we used were brown, burgundy and copper.  I chose the theme Steampunk and incorporated all three colors on my card. These are great autumn colors!

I used a pre-colored image from The Paper Shelter but colored over some of the already colored areas so that I could include the color burgundy. I also used digital paper from The Paper Shelter for my background. I love this very girly Steampunk girl! Remember, YOUR challenge for September at Craft-Dee BowZ is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW.

I used a Spellbinders die for burgundy paper around my image and the "stitched" oval die is by My Favorite Things, the gears are a die by Memory Box and the clock is a die by Marianne. My favorite dies are ovals since most of my images look nice in that shape on my square cards. I colored all my silver screw heads, clock and padlock charms with copper paint.  I used wide double sticky tape behind my brad looking lace and then sprinkled Sahara Glitter Ritz over it so between the areas of the black mesh, you see the glitter. I then colored all the silver tack strip with my copper brown colored Copic pen. The tan meshy ribbon was sent to me by Donna at Craft-Dee BowZ along with the charms; thanks, Donna! After I tied my bow using my Craft-Dee BowZ tool, I tightly wrapped thin copper metallic thread from Stampin' Up around the middle to add more copper on my card.

The Team has created fabulous projects for you this month and I hope you've enjoyed looking at them so far. If you haven't see them, please cruise the Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog and take a look at them. If you haven't made a card or project for the challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ, you still have a week+ to make a creation for our monthly challenge of ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW.
