Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone

Barbara here, with the last Tuesday of the month post. And it's the last DT post for this year. Even though Christmas is over I have one last Christmas card to share with you. This card has been given so I won't be revealing any surprises.

 Here is the card, closed

And here is the card opened

My bow was made using the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool. I had a few scraps left over so I made a triple and two single loop bows and layered them one on top of the other to obtain a really fluffy bow. This was a great way for me to use up some odd lengths of green ribbon in my stash.

Here is a closer view

Here is another close-up view

All the ribbons I used are the same color however there are two different widths but since these ribbons are all the same color, the bows all meld together and it is very hard to see that there are actually 3 different bows all attached together.

The Craft-Dee BowZ tool makes bow making a breeze.
If Santa forgot to bring you one, you can order yours here

I hope you got an idea to use some of those smaller ribbon pieces in your stash to still come up with a nice fluffy bow.

Here is some advance info about the new year here at
Craft-Dee BowZ

In a few days we will all be ringing in the new year.
And the new year here at Craft-Dee BowZ, will see something new with our challenges

In 2016,  Craft-Dee BowZ will be adding sponsors to our Challenges.
I think the sponsors we have chosen, offer an awesome selection of digital images.
This is new to Craft-Dee BowZ and we think you all will love this opportunity to win a prize.
What this means to all entrants, is no matter where you are from, you have a chance to win a prize if you are the top winner.

So stop back on Jan. 1 to welcome our first sponsor.
We are looking forward to seeing your project entered in our monthly challenges.

Thanks for stopping in today.

An Embossed Snowflake

Thanks for stopping by today since it's probably one of the busiest weeks of the year! This is my monthly spotlight post at Craft-Dee BowZ. The team had the challenge of the topic "Christmas" and the colors purple, blue and silver. I chose my favorite color for this post. I think the color is so vibrant and rich looking and it reminds of the robe one of the Three Kings wore in the pictures I've seen.

My card background was made using one of my favorite techniques, the Polished Stone technique. I love purple and mixing purples and dark pink gave me the perfect background for this card. I hand embossed on vellum using a snowflake stencil. Yes, I did it by hand with a small tool and pressed in each hole on the stencil. (I don't think I'd make these cards by the dozen...my hand got really tired!) The round diecut is one from a nesting die set by QuicKutz. I embossed my sentiment with white embossing powder. I don't know who made the stamp since I've removed it from the wood and didn't write the manufacturer on the rubber.

This purple ribbon is just gorgeous and it made a beautiful triple looped bow. This bow was so easy to make with my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. It would never look as good as this if I did it by hand. If you haven't gotten a Craft-Dee BowZ tool yet, make it a present to yourself for Christmas!

I added 3 rhinestones on top of the ribbon for some sparkle. I can never have enough sparkle! I suffered from glitter withdrawal making this card.

Have you seen the cards by Vicki and Tracey posted earlier this month?  So very pretty and worth a click over to take a look at them. Next Tuesday is Barbara's post and you need to stop by the Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog to take a look at it (I've had a preview of the card and you've got to see it!).

Since I'm the last post before Christmas, I get to wish you a very Merry Christmas from all of us here at Craft-Dee BowZ and we hope you have a chance to enjoy the holiday with family and friends.

                                                                                      Hugs,
                                                        Gail

Mittens.....

Hi all
Tracey here with my Monthly post. The theme for the DT this month is Christmas..so I have created this cute card using all my favourite techniques for you
The beautiful large teal flower was sent to me to work with this month so I based my whole colour scheme / design around that adding silver for an accent colour.
I used an 8x8 embossing folder from embossaliscious for the background. The mittens stamp and sentiment stamps are from Chloe designs. I embossed all the details with my heat gun and silver  wow powder. The frame around the mittens is a die from spellbinders. The snowflakes embossing folder that the mittens sit on is by cuttlebug.
The ribbon is from my stash. and I used my Trusty Craft-DeeBowZ Bow making tool .It creates stunning bows time after time with ease....

A close up of my fab bow

I hope you like my project and that you join us in the Craft-Dee BowZ monthly challenge where anything goes with a handmade bow.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas  and New Year with your loved ones .
Happy Crafting
Tracey

Vicki here...I'm up on the Craft-Dee BowZ Blog today to share my holiday inspiration with you.  This month the Design Team has been working with traditional and non-traditional colors on our projects.  I have used turquoise, silver, black and lavender, but I still love the traditional reds, greens and golds at Christmas time.  So, I saved the best for last!

Here's my December inspiration just for you...this is it for 2015!

Autumn Chores

It's a new week and my day to spotlight on Craft-Dee BowZ.  The challenge this month at Craft-Dee BowZ is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW but since the Design Team likes to challenge ourselves further, we also chose to use autumn colors, festive foliage AND burlap for our spotlight posts. I used this rubber stamp from Bildmalarna for my card.

I used a chevron embossing folder by Die-sire and sanded the paper so I have a lighter and darker tone to the chevrons. The yellow sunflowers are from Martha Stewart and I added a touch of glitter on each petal for some shine. A card with no glitter is a day without sunshine. ;) The leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The jewel swirl is from Michael's and my sentiment is by Wild Rose. Your eyes are not deceiving you...yes, I used both blue and turquoise jewels in the corners of my image's paper.

Here's an up-close image of my bows and I used acorn buttons by Dress It Up in the middle of each one. I made some paper using the Polished Stone technique and then used my leaf dies by Taylored Expressions to cut out the larger leaves. The tiny leaves that this little image is raking were made by a tiny punch (brand unknown) from the paper I made. I like this technique since I can pick different areas of the paper and get different colors and patterns. I love this pretty shear ribbon (thank you, Donna at CDB!) and I made two bows and tied them to the burlap ribbon. These bows came out as pretty as they did because I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool. This tool makes beautiful single loop bows, and to make these double and triple loops...well, this tool is absolutely fabulous. It's small, lightweight and portable, too!

The gals at the Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog have shared their outstanding creations on the blog each Tuesday this month and I hope you've seen them. If not, please take a moment now to cruise them before the next challenge!  And being that I'm the last Tuesday of the month to post my card, you know the challenge will be ending soon so if you have your card ready, please get it posted here. The challenge this month is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW.

Thanks for looking at my card this month and I hope you'll leave me a little message on my blog if you have a moment.

                                                                                    Hugs,
                                                      Gail

Tracey's Autumnal Project

Hi all
It is Tracey here.... It  is my turn to post  a project for your inspiration .The Dt are featuring Festive Foliage and burlap this month for you .Autumn is  my favourite time of year  so I really enjoyed making this card using an autumnal colour pallette
I have used a sizzix bird cage die and a stampin up bird punch.I also used papers from Trimcraft first edition Rose pad.The frame around the birdcage is a die from spellbinders.I distressed the paper edges using a Tim Holtz distressing tool. The flowers are from Wild orchid and I used burlap for the leaves which I die cut . The stuning ribbon was given to me as part of my Pack from Donna ,it is such beautiful ribbon to work with and my Trusty Craft-Dee Bowz bow making tool made the bow look amazing in seconds.

I finished it off with a chipboard word FAith which was sent to me by my team mate Gail and added  a cute birdcage charm and some gems..

I hope you like my card and that you join us in the Craft -Dee BowZ November challenge where anything goes with a handmade bow .
Happy crafting

"Autumn is a second Spring"

Vicki here...I'm up today with my Craft-Dee BowZ Festive Fall inspiration.  The Design Team had lots of fabulous ribbon to play with this month to coordinate with our fall foliage theme incorporating burlap.
I love Fall...the smell in the air, the warm colors and the mild temperatures.  Mother Nature makes sure we are surrounded by beauty in every direction.  These colors and the amazing ribbon from my DT product inspired my card.  The quote was perfect to pull together the burlap flowers and leaves.

"Autumn"

I created this card with lots of layers and texture.  The upper right corner of the lower portion of the card is folded down to form a pocket, held in place with hot glue and embellished with a gemstone.  I tucked in various leaves and added the quote here.  The leaves are die cut from cardstock and burlap. A burlap flower in my stash worked well with the fall colors and followed the quote theme.

This amazing bow was created using my wonderful Craft-Dee BowZ Bow Making Tool.  It helps make bows quick and easy.  I wanted my bow to look "scrunchy", so I added some dents and indentations here and there.

Need some yummy ribbon to use with your Craft-Dee BowZ Tool? Take advantage of Ribbon-Ade! There are two different options available for purchase... 10 yds. of Sheer Organza or 10 yds. of Sheer Polka Dot. You can also purchase both at a special price.

Fluttering from the Autumn Tree

Barbara here,

It's the first Tuesday of November and its time for my Craft-Dee BowZ post.

This month the designers were asked to use burlap in our Festive Fall Foliage. Burlap, hmmmm it just goes with fall doesn't it!! Of course it really can go with so many things.

Well let me show you what I came up with.

This card is a very simple card with burlap and some silk leaves in the glorious fall colors. But the bow, well it kind of took center stage. This ribbon is so beautiful with the vibrant fall colors. and since the ribbon is wired, this bow really maintains its shape.

Let me show you a closer view of the bow.

OK I admit I could not make this bow, without my trusty Craft-Dee BowZ tool. This tool lets me make lush bows with ease.

This little tool lets me make bows like the one above. Easy peasy!! REALLY!!
And you can use it for your gift packages too.
It isn't just for cards.

Don't forget Craft-Dee BowZ has a challenge every month and you have plenty of time to make a project and enter it before the month of November is over.
The theme is always, Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow.
I am going to be looking for your entry.

Thanks for stopping in today. Next Tuesday Vicki will be posting with her project. Stop back and check out what she has designed.

Sweet and Pretty in Pink

Being that it's the 4th Tuesday of the month, it's my turn to post on Craft-Dee BowZ!  The Design Team is working with butterflies, doilies and flowers this month along with the color "pink".  Pink has become synonymous with October and "Breast Cancer Awareness".  I decided to do something a little different than my usual style and I have so many pretty embossing folders and never use them...and it's time to stretch and use some of these craft items I've been collecting.

The embossing folder is by Couture Creations and I used pink White Washed paper by Co'ordinations and then sanded the embossed areas for the pink to show through. I used my Ranger Distressing Tool on the edges. The butterfly die is by Memory Box and I coated it with glue and then sprinkled Crystal Snow glitter by Stampendous all over it. The pearls on my card are from assorted packages in my stash. The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley and I used my Stampin' Up punch around it. So that you can put this card in perspective, the size of it is 5.25 X 7.5 inches.

My bow is a double loop and I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make it. It was so easy to get the bow straight and the tails out straight using this tool!  I added this pretty button with the back cut off in the middle of my bow. Thank you to Donna at Craft-Dee BowZ for this pretty ribbon!

Have you seen the cards posted each Tuesday by a member of the Design Team?  If you haven't, please stop by here and take a look. And like you, we appreciate a kind word or two if you have time.

Since this is the last Tuesday of the month, you have just a few more days to get your card done and posted to the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge blog for this month's challenge of ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HAND MADE BOW. And I'd like to remind you that a bow made from a die cut doesn't count as a hand made bow. And, stamped or digital bows on an image's dress or on a basket don't count as a hand made bow, either.

                                                                                   Hugs,
                                                           Gail
