Cold Hands Warm Heart with Dana Tatar
Hi Craft-Dee BowZ fans! Dana Tatar here sharing my first project as a member of the Craft-Dee BowZ team today! I like to dress in layers during the cold Winter months, so in keeping with that trend, I created this card that also sports several layers of patterned paper, cardstock and ribbon.
I topped the cozy pair of mittens with a perfect double bow. This bow measures 1.5 inches from loop to loop. I wouldn't have been able to create a beautiful bow of such small size without my Craft-Dee BowZ Tool.
Thanks for stopping by today!

a warm winter heart...
Hi there~ Thanks for visiting! I have a project to share with you today that was made for ‘Craft-Dee BowZ‘. I’m happy to tell you that I’m on their design team!! My first project was made with some lovely ribbons sent to me by Donna, the owner of Craft-Dee BowZ, in keeping with this challenge theme of ‘Winter’…
I began by cutting a panel of patterned paper to mount onto the card base, followed by a segment of a doily adhered to the top. I cut three white ribbon banners with swallow-tail ends and adhered them to the card, the center ribbon banner just a bit lower than the ones on the sides. Then I layered another ribbon banner made from a wide, turquoise organza ribbon, finished with the same swallow-tailed ends and placed in the center of the card. I made a double bow with the same wide turquoise ribbon, cutting the tails on a single angle so they make a nearly straight line horizontally, when adhered to the card…
Before attaching the bow, I tied a silver tone snowflake charm with silver metallic embroidery floss around the ‘knot’ of the bow. I do this after tying my bow. By threading the floss (0r twine, string, ribbon, yarn, etc. onto a yarn needle, I can slide the floss under the knot, tie it into a secure knot and then move the knot around to the back to hide it…
The sentiment was stamped with smokey grey ink on white vellum that was die cut into a sinuous ribbon shape. The star of this card really is the double bow and if you follow my blog, you know how much I love ribbons! While they are sometimes the supporting cast, it’s fun to design a card where ribbon shines, front and center!
Craft-Dee BowZ’s sells a bow tying tool that takes up very little room and does the job! I have seen and tried other tools for bow making, but they took lots of space to store and/or cost a lot of money. The one that Craft-Dee BowZ sells is compact and hangs on a hook within arms reach! I just love it!! I’m also a fan of the 3-M removable wall hooks! I use them all around my crafting space because I can move them as needs change and they never damage the walls or furniture! Such super products!! Here’s where my Craft-Dee BowZ is kept, at my right elbow where I craft. It’s time to re-align the hooks as you can see ;)) There is another favorite 3M product attached to my marker container. It holds my magnifying glasses and it’s also removable!…

Let is Snow Vintage Style.
Hi, Everyone!
It is Kim here. Well this is my First post! So excited. Anyway I decided to do a Vintage Style card. I used the Multi Loop Bow technique. I added two colors instead of one. It just went perfect with the Winter Theme. I hope I inspired someone. Till next time.

Winter Decor and 100 years!
Vicki here, January's Guest Designer and I'm delighted to be back again as part of the Craft-Dee BowZ Team for 2014.
The January theme here at Craft-Dee BowZ is winter using the colors blue, white, and brown and multi-loop bows. I received such a generous supply of ribbon, that I wanted to create more than one project for my guest post!
The colors are perfect for winter time home decor and cards. I love to decorate the house year round for the different seasons and holidays. With Christmas decorations down and stored, I have put my winter decor in place, starting with the mantle in our family room.

The bow was made using 2 Craft-Dee BowZ Tools that have been attached together with velcro on the short side. Yes, you read that right, 2 Craft-Dee BowZ Tools! You can increase the size of the bows you make by putting 2 of them together. Hmmm....I wonder what I could do with 3?
Another item that joins the sled, is this altered picture frame with Mr. Owl. I pulled out lots of mixed media products to complete this project.
The tan/gold ribbon with a touch of blue worked well with the woodsy owl theme.
Tomorrow, my grandfather will turn 100 years old and join the rank of Centenarian! He has seen a lot of changes in this world. I created this card for him to help celebrate his special day.
I don't typically add bows to masculine cards, but this called for special attention and the white, multi-loop bow was a great finishing touch to his card.
By the time you read this post, I will be on my way to CHA in Anaheim, CA! It's always an exciting time to see the new, upcoming craft releases. I will be posting photos in my blog during the CHA event. Please stop by and take a peek if you get the chance.
I hope you enjoyed my winter inspiration using the Craft-Dee BowZ Tool!
Vicki

Warmest Wishes
Hi Everyone,
Barbara here and let me welcome you to 2014.I'm sure by now you've heard that quite a few times. Today I am taking a trip back in time, back to the late 50's and early 60's when winters were colder, and much more snowy. When I was a kid, I loved going ice skating on a lake about a mile from my house. On weekends we'd all get together and go skating and build a fire and have a blast.. So when I spied the skates die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix, that really brought those memories back home. And of course I had to have those.
Let me share this card with you.

Let me share this card with you.
Those skates in the background are a wooden pair I bought years ago at a craft fair. Couldn't pass them up., they are so nostalgic. BTW, I still have my skates from my teen years and they still fit. Now I am not so sure I could skate today, though. LOL
The bow made for this card has 3 loops on each side of the knot and after I fuss with it a minute or two, the bow becomes really fluffy. I thought a fluffy bow would be the perfect addition to this card.
Components I used on this card:
Dies -Ice Skates Sizzix/Tim Holtz, Circle Spellbinders, Striped Mittens - Memory Box Precious Mittens
Embroidery Floss - for laces on skates
Stamped Sentiment - Heartfelt Creations - Christmas Sentiment Circles
Paper/Card Stock - Cream Card Stock, White Card Stock, Vellum, DCWV (used under vellum)
Ink - Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire
Ribbon
Bow Maker - Craft-Dee BowZ tool
Don't forget each Tuesday is a new post from members of the design team. Tuesday Jan. 14 Kim Bell will be sharing a post. Thanks for stopping in today.
