Santa is Coming!

This is my week to post at Craft-Dee BowZ and our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW. I chose this awesome stamp and matching die of Santa by Art Impressions for my card. I love Christmas and winter cards. It's my favorite season and for a good's the coolest time here in Phoenix and we get to wear sweaters!  We don't get snow in Phoenix, but we can drive just 2 hours and head to Flagstaff--just north of us--and snow ski!  But here in the desert, winter time temps can be as high as 85! I'll never forget Christmas of 1988 when it got up to 85 and we were all running around in shorts, tank tops and flip flops!  That might sound good to you but remember that our temps have hit 123 in the summer!
My bow is a triple loop and it's 'wired' ribbon which means there's a thin wire through it. It helped this bow keep this shape, which reminded me of ribbon candy. The red and white reminded me of candy canes. Making this bow was super easy using my bow tool. The red jewel in the middle was the perfect touch to this awesome bow. The die cut word "snow" is slightly hidden but is cut out of red metallic paper, just like the giant snowflake behind my Santa's head. I used white glitter as well as white embossing powder on my card.
Our sponsor this month is Kinda' Cute by Patricia. The prize to our winner is three images from Kinda' Cute.

Have you had a chance to check out the blog each Tuesday this month to see the Team's creations?  I hope you'll join us this month at Craft-Dee BowZ for our ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HAND MADE BOW challenge!

A card for my Daughter ....

It is time for my mid month inspiration project for the November challenge .This card was designed around a beautiful piece of lace that i have had in my stash for years and i wanted to make something pretty with it for my daughters birthday. I have also used a topper that has sat lurking in my stash for some time.I distressed it with my Tim Holtz distress tool

I used a tonic die for the butterflies and a pink gem stamp for the sentiment It says "Daughter ,a little girl who grows into a friend"

The leaf spray die was from the works. The flowers are all  from wild orchid.

The delicate double looped bow was made using my CraftDeeBowZ bow maker

I hope you like my card and that you join us with your own creations in the challenge
Happy crafting

Happy Christmas

Hello and Kathy here, it's my Tuesday to post for some inspiration.

For my hosting project, I created this Simple little Christmas card using this cute little bird.

Here is a close up of the image that I colored using my copic markers.

And here is a close up of the bow, that I made using the Craft-Dee BowZ bow tool.

I hope I have inspired you and I hope that you will join in during the challenge.  Our sponsor for the this month is Kinda Cute by Patrica.

She has some adorable images so please pay her a visit, I'm sure you will find something in her shop that you will enjoy.  Up next is Tracey.

All the Wonder

Hello and how's your day going???

Mine.... well not too good. I am so late with this post. I am so sorry. My days have gotten away from me. LOL

I made a super Christmas card and a few of my friends will be receiving this little, easy to make, card.

Flip the bird flap back and the card can be opened.

Here is the card opened
And here is a closer view of that bow on the card front.

This card looks so nice with a smaller bow.
I made a double loop and it's just the right size and fullness.
Not too overwhelming.

I think this design is perfect for an A-2 size card.
A little card with a bigger punch.

The Craft-Dee BowZ tool gives you the ability to make your bow smaller or larger.
You have great flexibility.

Need one?? order one today, just
go to the left sidebar and order yours.
Treat yourself to an early Christmas gift

Hope you enjoyed this card.

Stop in Next Tuesday to see what Kathy has in store for you.
