Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone
Barbara here. Well it's a new month. It's the first Tuesday and it's my turn to post.  I can't believe we are in June already. 5 months down already!! I am already thinking and making Christmas cards.

Since we are approaching the start of summer, I decided to use some flowers on my card. The two larger ones are store bought and kind of look shabby but the smaller ones were handmade by me.

Donna sent the DT members some beautiful ribbons to use this month. Peach satin, peach sheer and a peach lacy ribbon. The ribbons are so yummy so I used all three on this card.

For my bow, I decided on a layered triple loop bow.
And of course the Craft-Dee BowZ tool makes creating that type of bow so easy.
I have some additional info about my card here on my blog.

The Craft-Dee BowZ tool is available for ordering right here on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog
on the left sidebar..

Each Tuesday one of the designers post their project here at Craft-Dee BowZ. Stop back next Tuesday to see what Vicki has in store for you.

Thanks for stopping by

"Friends" Tag by Karen

Hi there,

Karen here, sharing a really fun "Friends" tag using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool.  I absolutely love the large tag concept, so ultimately, this tag will definitely be an album cover.

The tag measures 4 3/4 X 8, which offers great space for loads of creativity. The base layer is a patterned mega tag by K and Company.  I added a random coat of gesso creating a whitewash effect. I then used my stencil to add a sketch grid pattern to the tag. To enhance the whitewash effect I added white gelatos to the edges of the tag and adhered the tag to chipboard as prep for an album. I accented all embellishments with gesso to easily blend with the tag. I continued embellishing and added 2 really cute bows that I created with the Craft-Dee Bowz tool to enhance the overall design.

Friends Tag by Karen Jiles Supplies Tag: K and Company; Wooden tickets: Prima; Flowers: Recollections; Gelatos: Faber Castell; Adhesive: Xyron; Tool: Craft-Dee-BowZ; Stencil: The Crafter's Workshop; Other: Ribbon, Paint, Cheesecloth, Gesso

This is a close up of the bows and other embellishments.  I love how effortless the tool makes bow making. I was able to make multi looped bows very quickly and in just the right sizes.
Thanks so much for visiting today...:)

Always and Forever

Hi Everyone,
It's Barbara here with my regular monthly post for Craft-Dee BowZ.

Don't you just love February. This is the month we celebrate Valentine's Day, Groundhogs Day,( we are half way to spring), also its Presidents Day this month and I am sure there are more holidays this month that I'm just not remembering.

For this post I am going to focus on Valentines. Have you noticed the colors that seem to be used a lot on valentine cards are reds and pinks. Those are warm colors and with the winter we've had so far, we can take all the warmth we can get. LOL

One reminder, before I forget, it's time for the bi-monthly Craft-Dee BowZ blog hop, and it's this week!! The blog hop starts on Thursday, February 6, so mark your calendar because you will want to stop in and check out the hop and leave comments. Leaving comments will make you eligible to win your very own Craft-Dee BowZ  tool. The Craft-Dee BowZ tool really has made it easy for me to make beautiful bows for all my projects.Click here to order yours today. Or ask your sweetie to get one for you for Valentine's Day.

Here's my card, designed with a Valentine theme.

Thought you'd like a close-up of the bow

Those flowers above the bow started out as a self adhesive border. I cut the flowers apart and cut some pieces of wire and adhered a flower to the front and to the back of the wire. Also these started out as white and I sprayed them with a red spray.  I used my Craft-Dee BowZ  tool to make a simple and easy to make, single loop pink bow. The panel on my card is pink with white polka dots and the main card is red. So it looks like I too used pink and red on my card.

OK, now it's time to get your Valentine cards finished. Hope I've given you some inspiration today.

Thanks for stopping in and have a great week. And I hope to see you back here Thursday. There will be some beautiful inspiration projects and just in time for your last minute Valentine cards and projects.

Repurpose your old items with Craft-Dee BowZ

Hello Folks
Donna-Marie Here as a guest designer...whoo hooo!!
I am so honored that Donna asked me to join you today.
I use my Craft-Dee BowZ tool all the time to make perfect BowZ for all my projects both crafty and sewing.
Here is my latest project.  I picked up an old glass jar at my local thrift store and wanted to make something for the upcoming holidays to hold my candy.
I painted the jar with Gold 3D Stamp Paint from Viva Décor and then stamped all over with Library Green Archival Ink using a floral stamp pad.
(the trick is not to put the rubber stamp on a block use the stamp without the block so that it will wrap around curved areas).
I then got to work creating my small spools of ribbon and paper.  I strung them on twine and put them aside.  Then it was time to make my bowZ!!! I made a big green one for the top and added a brown one at the bottom to balance the jar and give it some nice proportions.
I added some flowers and a tag :-)
Then strung my spools up into the bow.
I had so much fun making something out of a .49 cent old jar!!
What a great way to help the environment by recycling and repurposing :-)
I have enjoyed spending time with you folks today and hope I have inspired you to make something out of nothing...all you need to do is add a few bowZ!! LOL
Peace and Love
