Christmas in July

I'm one of those people who loves making Christmas cards ALL the time so when I see "Christmas In July" I pull out my Christmas supplies and go for it. Now, that doesn't mean you have to make a Christmas card to be in our challenge this month at Craft-Dee BowZ since our challenge is always ANYTHING GOES, but if you need an excuse to do a winter card, this is it.

For those who are wondering what ornament die I used, I'm sorry but I didn't make note of it. I used my striped embossing folder for the background, tag stamps by Whimsy, branch die by Tim Holtz, Quikcutz rectangle die and pretty flat back mat finished jewels by Queen & Co.

My bow is made with lightweight seam binding which tied beautifully using my bow tool. I made a double loop bow and it was the perfect embellishment on this pretty pink Christmas card! You can see how perfect this bow turned out and it was on the first try. No more wasting ribbon or seam binding for me trying to get a good looking bow for any project!

This is my little bow tool. It's small, simple to use, reasonably priced and I've saved money by not wasting anymore ribbon trying to get a good looking bow. It comes out great the first time with my bow tool!

Our sponsor this month is The Paper Shelter and the winner receives 3 images of their choice from the extensive collection of images which include black and white images as well as images digitally colored and even background paper! You are sure to find more than 3 that you want, so please visit the site and see the fabulous images for sale.

Our challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ is always ANYTHING GOES. Time is running out for you to enter your project, so please go over and enter your latest creation!

                                                                              Thanks for stopping by!

Better Days are Coming

Hello and Kathy here, it's my Tuesday to post for some inspiration.

For my hosting project, I created a card using this darling Bee Mine image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I absolutely love Mo's and I think she and The Paper Shelter are my number one artists.  Although this image is a valentine theme image I decided to use her without that theme in mind.  Besides she looks like she is ready for a party, doesn't she? I just could not resist this sweet little image.

Here is a close up of the image that I colored using my copic markers.

And here is a close up of the bow, that I made using the Craft-Dee BowZ bow tool.

I hope I have inspired you and I hope that you will join in during the challenge.  Our sponsor for the this month is The Paper Shelter.  Please feel free to visit my blog at: kathyskraftroom.blogspot.com

She also has some adorable images as well, so please pay her a visit, I'm sure you will find something in her shop that you will enjoy.  Up next is Tracey.

Until next time,
Kathy

Flowers Galore

Barbara here,
Time for the first inspiration project for July, here at Craft-Dee BowZ

Hope you all are doing OK and still staying safe and healthy.

My July inspiration piece is not a card. In fact there is no stamping (or images) at all on this. But this project definitely called for a bow.
Let me share the project with you.

The bow - up close

My bow - I used Hug Snug-seam binding (my fav) and of course, the Craft-Dee BowZ  bow making tool.
The bow is a quad loop bow for this project. Yep a quad loop bow. Using the seam binding and the CDB bowmaker, making a quad loop is really easy, and makes for a fuller bow.

Do you have your CDB tool yet?? No???
This tool is smaller, easy to use, travels well and it's easy to store.
It will make bows from 1" to 4 1/2"
You can order yours by clicking on the Buy Now button here on the left sidebar.

Click here  to go to my blog for more info about my project

Just a reminder -
The July Craft-Dee BowZ challenge has started and runs thru July 29
The theme is Anything Goes (no bow required)
You could be the next winner,
We are looking forward to your submission.

That it for now
Stop back next Tuesday to see what Kathy has come up with
for her Inspiration Tuesday project
