Mr. & Mrs.

So the theme this month for the DT is wedding and the colors are cream or white. What? Colors? Omg! I totally forgot about the colors because when I saw the pretty ribbon we had to work with, my mind automatically went Vintage.

But in looking at my finished card, I played by the "challenge" as I do have cream on my card. Whew! I used brown ribbon to which I laid lace over top of it and then made my triple loop bow using the Craft-Dee BowZ maker. I love how the lace stayed right on top of it during the entire process.

To make my card even more vintage looking, I sponged distress ink on all the pattern paper layers. The middle is chipboard covered in paper and then distressed. I stamped "Mr. & Mrs." in two different shades of brown ink on the oval covered chipboard. To finish off my card, I attached some "wedding" rings to the side of the covered chipboard.

Hope you enjoyed my card!

Wedding Layout

Hi, it's Patti and it's my time to share a wedding page. This is our daughter on her wedding day. I focused this black and white photo on the beautiful offwhite and burnt orange ribbons. I used my Craft-Dee Bowz tool and made a triple loop bow with the wide sheer ribbon, then made a single loop with the burnt orange and layered it on top and pinned it with a pretty stick pin!

Here is a close-up of the beautiful ribbon and the bow, also the lace border. You can see the little stick pin accent as well.

Here you see the beautiful strip that I embossed with the 12" embossing folder by Darice. I then inked it white and used lavendar and gold stickles along with gems and pearl accents.

Here you can see the beautiful Prima blooms and butterfly that matched perfectly with the ribbons. I was lucky and found some old Cosmo Cricket Love Letters paper in my stash!!! The colors were just right!
The journaling is rub-ons from Kaisercraft. I love the colors together and I think it shows well with the b/w photo. The Craft-Dee Bowz tool makes it easy to create gorgeous multi-loop bows and layer them if you want to!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you will create and play with your Craft-Dee Bowz tool, and if you don't have one, what are you waiting for?!?!?!?!!!!!

Wedding Anniversary Card with Guest Designer Dana Tatar

Hi Craft-Dee BowZ fans! Dana Tatar here with you today sharing my guest design project with you. June is the month for weddings and I'm celebrating my sister's wedding anniversary this month. I thought it would be fun to send her a card that featured one of my favorite photos from her wedding to remind her of her special day.

I added a vellum sentiment right to the photo, which is adhered to an embossed and sanded piece of whitewashed cardstock.

My card wasn't complete until I added a beautiful double loop bow created with my Craft-Dee BowZ Tool! I added a small die-cut flower and rhinstone button to the center of the bow for a touch of sparkle.

A big thanks to the Craft-Dee BowZ Team for inviting me to share my work this month! I'd also like to thank everyone who stopped by and left a comment on my blog during the hop last week! If you didn't win the Craft-Dee BowZ Tool prize, there is another chance to win this month by playing along with the June Challenge!  You can find all the details HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today!

June is for Weddings

Hi Everyone,
It's Barbara and since it's Tuesday, it's time for a post from a DT member.

June is considered the month for weddings. So I thought I'd make a card and combine a dress fit for the bride accented with a multi-loop bow. I used white cs and cream cs for a little contrast. And brides always have pearls don't they?? I added a pearl border to the label shape behind the bridal dress. Behind that is a little netting reminding me of the veil. That bow was made using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool (of course) and I used a sheer ribbon. I tried my hand at making a decorative pin. Just another little added touch to this card.

By the way, Craft-Dee BowZ is hosting their monthly challenge so you will want to click here to check it out. A Craft-Dee BowZ tool is awarded to one submitter each month. You could be the prize winner.

Stop back on Thursday, for the Craft-Dee BowZ blog hop. The theme is Butterflies and Flowers and the design team has been busy with projects that will inspire you. And we have a guest designer joining the hop this time, Dana Tatar, and she does some cool things. Hope to see you at the hop.

Well that is it for now. See you Thursday.

For a rainy day

Well our trip home from the convention brought a wee bit of the wet stuff off and on, but it decided to continue today making for a glum Monday.  Monday's are bad enough, but when it's gloomy, I think I get a bit edgy.  So I put myself to good use in my craft room and created a card that was apropos of the weather.   I thought I'd pop it in here quickly before my Design Team takes over.

I happened to have an Dreamweaver umbrella stencil, so I sandwiched it properly and made it work like an embossing folder.  I love making my toys do double duty, can you tell? I then skimmed over it with Distress Tumbled Glass.  The umbrellas are a Memory Box die pop dotted onto the card.  I added a simple sentiment and a great big bow to complete the picture.

My mojo ran out after I did this card and I can't seem to get out of my own way!  Boy do I hope that changes soon!

Don't forget -- this is Blog Hop week starting at 10pm Wednesday through Friday.  Drop by and see what these talented gals have created!
