Love Card with Dana Tatar

Hi Craft-Dee BowZ fans! Dana here today sharing a card. This month Craft-Dee BowZ has partnered with The Graphics Fairy, an amazing source of fabulous, free digital images. If you have not visited this site it is fantastic! I have created a card using one of their fairy images.

I started with an embossed cardstock base and then added some script stamping and a wide strip of lace. Donna set me a gorgeous handmade butterfly and some beautiful butterfly lace, which I was happy to use on this card! I inked the edges of my image with Distress Ink and Stickles for a bit of shimmer.

I tied this pretty double loop bow with two different pieces of ribbon and my Craft-Dee BowZ Tool. I loved the look of the gold satin under the sheer organza striped ribbon. Simply layer the ribbons on top of each other and use the Craft-Dee BowZ Tool as you would with a single piece of ribbon to create this two-toned bow.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy crafting!

Wings...

Hello everyone.  I’m delighted you’ve stopped in to have a look at my card for Craft Dee BowZ.  This month, Craft Dee BowZ has partnered with The Graphics Fairy which is an amazing source of fabulous, free digital images.  If you have never checked this site out, run, don’t walk!  I have created a card using one of their ballerina images…she has wings!…

RebeccaDeeprose Ballerina-1

I printed the image at 40% of it’s original size and began by creating multiple mats around the image…newsprint, an overall floral and a soft blue card stock that was treated to a scalloped edge.  A band of beautiful, wide lace runs up the left side of the card front and is layered…

with a band or organza ribbon and topped with a butterfly trim.  Sometimes, more is wonderful!  Using satin ribbon, there are cascades adorning the corner and a lovely, Prima flower with a triple bow of hand dyed seam binding tucked underneath for another touch of blue…

RebeccaDeeprose Ballerina-3

The opposite corner has a sentiment that is held with a memo pin and anchored with another triple bow (made with the Craft Dee BowZ tool, of course).  It would be a simple matter to change the sentiment if needed…

RebeccaDeeprose Ballerina-4

I cut the face of the card’s base 1-1/2″ wider than the actual size so that I could punch a decorative edge that was adhered to a panel of white, to emphasize the punched design.
Happy crafting and I’ll be back soon~

Sending you blessings and ((hugs)),

Vintage Fairy Inspiration

Vicki here...I'm up on the Craft-Dee BowZ Blog today with vintage fairy clip art inspiration for you.  I was extra creative and made two versions of one card and a second card using a different fairy image.  We are working with shades of light tan and taupe also.

The first card is a clean and simple version of the next one.  I added stickles to the fairy's dress and wings along with flowers and a bow.  This bow has to be one of the most favorite I created with my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow Making Tool.  I love the color and the sheer ribbon has an awesome shimmer.

For the next version of the first card, I added a second scalloped matting and irridescent jewels to pick up the sparkle in the fairy's dress.  The tan background was a great accent for the bow too.

On my last card, I made a lacy matting using a Spellbinder die-cut and script patterned paper.   The image of blue and tan tones is matted with the same blue and dark brown cardstock.  I added a strip of Memory Box red die-cut hearts for a pop of color and tucked a piece of distressed music sheet paper behind the image.  The bow was created with my Craft-Dee BowZ tool and the fabulous, sheer and shimmery ribbon of gold.  I embellished it with two pearl stick pins.

Thanks for stopping by!

Guest Designer - Robin Parker

I am so excited to be Guest Designing for Craft-Dee Bowz once again.  I just love this bow making tool.  So easy and simple that anyone can use this product to create beautiful bows.

This style of image is difficult for me as I am not used to creating anything vintage.  So I went outside of my box and used three different sizes of the image and cut the out and used pop dots to give the raised effect.  The beautiful bow was created using the Craft-Dee Bowz tool.
